Absolute privacy above the Pacific
Description
Set alone on a hillside above Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, Villa Ocean Bleu offers something increasingly rare: complete seclusion. There are no neighbors, no shared walls and no overlooking homes, just jungle canopy, open sky and an uninterrupted view of the Pacific. Here the only sounds are the wind, the birds and the ocean below.
This brand-new private estate was designed for guests who value discretion as much as comfort. Privacy is not limited to a single terrace. It extends to every level and every room, from the upper suites to the garden-level bedrooms, the pool deck and the outdoor shower. Families, close friends and high-profile travelers can live freely, swim, dine and unwind without being seen or overheard.
The Main Pavilion
The heart of the home is an open living and dining pavilion that can be fully enclosed in glass and air-conditioned at the touch of a button. Natural wood ceilings, terrazzo floors, hand-finished plaster and wood screens give the interiors a calm, tailored character, while quiet reading corners offer moments of solitude. A separate family lounge with a deep sectional and large-screen TV is a cooler, quieter retreat for movie nights and slow afternoons.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is built around a dramatic waterfall island in dark leathered stone, with bar seating for six and warm wood cabinetry running wall to wall. It works just as well for a private chef's dinner service as for a slow morning coffee. Just outside, a live-edge solid wood table with matching benches sits beneath a woven rattan pendant, ready for long lunches in the shade.
The Suites
Each suite is a study in calm: hand-finished plaster walls, wood headboards that span the room, linen bedding in soft natural tones and woven pendant lights. The upper-level suites are wrapped in floor-to-ceiling corner glass, with treetop and ocean views. The garden-level suites open directly onto the gardens, with the palapa and the Pacific just steps beyond the glass, and they are just as private as the rooms above: no neighbors and no sightlines in. Built-in writing desks make it easy to stay connected when needed.
The Primary Bath
The primary bath feels like a private spa. A freestanding soaking tub faces a tall window framing the jungle, while a double concrete vanity glows behind floor-to-ceiling wood screens that filter the tropical light.
The Outdoors
Outside, the deck is entirely yours. An infinity-edge saltwater pool with an integrated jacuzzi seems to spill into the jungle and the sea beyond, with a shallow area for younger guests. A traditional thatched-roof palapa at the water's edge holds daybeds and a shaded lounge with a wraparound sofa. An outdoor grill and alfresco dining set the scene for long, private dinners facing the sunset. A walled lava-stone outdoor shower, surrounded by tropical gardens, completes the experience.
Private Chef Included
A private chef comes with every stay, so you never have to leave the estate unless you want to. Santa Teresa's beaches, restaurants and surf breaks are about 20 minutes away: close when you want them, far enough that they never reach you.
